Meet the Team

Manuel Muñoz is a professional triathlete and he has worked as a coach for the last 20 years. He has run several Ironmans: Ironman Lanzarote, Ironman Switzerland, Ironman Taiwan, Ironman Netherlands and Germany. When he is not travelling around the world participating in tough competitions, he is a teacher at Malaga University.
Francisco is a national triathlon level III trainer, swimming coach, master in high performance cyclic sports and a senior technician in sport nutrition.He has finished several triathlons both national and international. He has finished 12 marathons being his best time 3h 09 minutes. He loves to coach triathles, at the moment he is training 38 of them to compete in future sport events.
Daniel’s background is Ashtanga Yoga. He calls himself a “free style” yoga practitioner because he doesn’t impose yoga postures but he guides people to explore for themselves how far they want to go with suggested postures. Daniel is also an Acrobatic Massage or AcroSage teacher. He studied AcroSage with a student of Benjamin Marantz in England and has then developed his own style.
Rubén Medina is the Islander Experience CEO and event manager. He has lived in Ireland for almost 5 years and he is passionate about the Irish west coast, especially Donegal county. His biggest dream is to attract sustainable and quality tourists to Lanzarote and thus he intends on making Lanzarote a top destination for amateur runners. He will help you with any request at the destination and will work hard to ensure you fall in love with the Island, the local food and people.
